CDHA Merit Award

The CDHA Merit Award was established to recognize an individual who is not an RDH, but has made significant contributions to dental hygiene or dental health. The award will be presented at the Red Shoe Gala of the Nutmeg Conference 2026.  

 

  • Eligibility: An individual who is not a dental hygienist.

  • Criteria: An individual who has made a significant contribution to the profession of Dental Hygiene or dental health. A letter and curriculum vitae will be submitted to the committee by any individual member or component.

  • Selection: Recommendation will be made by the committee and with final approval made by the BOT.

  • Award: Certificate. This will be granted as warranted to an individual without granting him/her membership status. The Award will be presented at the CDHA Annual Session.

 

Components or individual members may submit names of those who they believe are  exemplary to receive these important recognitions.
